A great value for up to 3 persons! Smith Street is one of the most convenient locations in central London. This property is just around the corner from the King's Rd with all its shops, restaurants, clubs, and transportation. Even though this garden level flat is only two doors from the King's Road, it is quiet and very private. For many people, Chelsea is THE place to live in the city. This reputation comes from its very exciting city life and stylish shops. From Sloane Square along the King's Road there are fantastic shops and entertainment--the latest in everything English. The boutiques are really lovely. The new development at the Duke of York Square has Valerie Patisserie for fantastic pastries and breakfast. Two excellent restaurants have just opened their doors in this trendy location. The Sloane Square Tube Station is only five minutes away, and Sloane Street shops like Tiffany's are all located on newly refurbished Sloane Square. One of the major draws to the area is Peter Jones, a large department store that has everything. Most Londoners shop at Peter Jones rather than Harrods, just up Sloane Street. On the top floor of Peter Jones, visitors and shoppers can enjoy a magnificent view over London while lunching on a delicious meal. The setting is just beautiful. The garden level flat (half basement) is very nice and certainly one of the best bargains in central London. The actual building is a period structure dating to mid-Victorian times. It is painted its historically correct color: pale pink. It is all just really nice. A brand new metal staircase, just installed, leads visitors to the garden level with its large open well. There are many windows around the flat so it is bright and restful. The living room is very comfortable with chairs, tables, TV, DVD, Broadband Internet connection with wireless router. The decorative fireplace is the focal point of the room. The sofa is actually a pull-out for one additional visitor. The kitchen has hob, oven,fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave; a washer/dryer is in the hall cupboard, and a second external door. The bathroom has a tub with shower over, bidet, sink, and loo. The bedroom has two twin beds which are made up as one large bed. This is a very well appointed flat--wonderful value. Considering the location, the standard, and the cost, we highly recommends this property. Goodness, you are right in the midst of it all. HIGH-SPEED INTERNET wireless router (802.llb, g) has been installed for those traveling with computers. Property is designated non-smoking.
